MOC inspired by Marianne Cusato's award-winning Katrina Cottage design.
Here is the original "little yellow house" designed by Marianne Cusato. It is
simple and charming. I love the light yellow color, and managed to scrounge
enough light yellow LEGO bricks to keep it that way! My own version has been
expanded and "Wisconsin-ized" by the addition of a full basement, cathedral
ceiling, loft, fireplace, and non-metal roof. I have tried to preserve the classic
lines of the original while adding more living space and other creature comforts.
This is a work in progress rather than a finished MOC. Like my Victorians, the
scale of this building was determined by the windows. I experimented until I got
the gapless, working, double-hung windows I wanted, and the rest followed
from there.
