Victorian goes a size larger

OK, so I liked the scale it was at.  Those doors were pretty cute, after all; but I wasn’t happy with the window framing.  Trying to get the tan trim around the glass left some little gaps at the top of the windows and excess white on the sides.  So, I tore down what I had and rebuilt a size larger.  Here’s as far as I’ve gotten:

Victorian in larger scale, as of 1.8.09

Victorian in larger scale, as of 1.8.09

I like it really well (even the doors look fine at this size), and the window framing looks great (although the SNOT [studs not on top] technique used means pieces want to move around and drop off inconveniently).  Now the problem is that it would cost a small fortune to build the whole thing at this scale!  What I will probably do is just finish the facade, to have the experience and to see how it all would look at that size, and then tear it down again and build the full house quite a bit smaller, not worrying so much about the window framing.

Note:  The posts in front of the garage doors are temporary, just to give support to the bay windows while I push and prod at them during construction.

What do you think?
